Admissions Process

  1. From the "apply now" tab, you will be directed to the GaFutures website. If you have not created an account previously for another University System of Georgia school, you will need to create a new account to apply to CSU.
  2. Complete the online application for admission.
  3. Be sure to answer all items on the online application to assist in determining both your admission and residency status.
  4. After you are finished, click the SUBMIT button located in the left column of the application (or at the end of the application) and follow the directions.
  5. There is a non-refundable application fee of $40 (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa).

After applying please submit the following documents:

Traditional Freshman Applicants

(Graduated from an accredited high school within the past 5 years)

Traditional Transfer Applicants

(Graduated from an accredited high school within the past 5 years and have 30 or more transferable hours)

Non-Traditional Freshman Applicants

(Graduated from an accredited high school 5 years or more, with no prior college experience)

Non-Traditional Transfer Applicant

(Graduated from an accredited high school 5 years or more, with 30 or more transferable hours)

Transient Applicants

Dual Enrollment / Joint Enrollment Applicants

Lawful Presence Verification

In accordance with Board of Regents Policy 4.3.4, all applicants who are accepted for admission or readmission to Columbus State University and who seek to be classified as in-state for tuition purposes will be required to provide validation of residency and lawful presence in both the State of Georgia and the United States.
